Game 1 of the MLB NLCS is about to start and I haven't even picked a game in the playoffs.

I'm a horrible human being.

Now, I couldn't find anyone to exchange emails with for this series, so I'm not as involved as usual. No one I know (that writes) is from any of the towns represented in the Post Season this year except the Artist Formerly Known as Justin Rebello, and he didn't return my call (we all really are a lot like our writing indicates).

But anyway, what the hell, I'm going anyway.

Colorado Rockies over Arizona Diamondbacks
I look forward to learning a lot of new names this series. But seriously, how can the Rockies not go all the way this year? Forget their stretch run, the blown call or any of the other mystique surrounding them and just consider how fitting it would be for the team from the mountains to win a World Series in the snow (hopefully) in the same year that baseball's steroid use became as common and ever-present as sunflower seeds. I mean, life has taught me that the cosmos loves to make statements. And I think this is one it has to make.

Oh yeah, Rockies in Six.

Cleveland Indians over Boston Red Sox
In all honesty, it has been a long time since I've been this excited to see the ALCS. These are two teams that should face off in a post season. Great pitching dominates both teams, with the edge going to the Indians (in my humble fucking opinion), but the BoSox will hit and they have the second best series-ready rotation in baseball.

I see this one going seven as well.

Now that baseball's out of the way, here's a very strange picture:

Enjoy the playoffs.
