It seems kind of ironic, but I've just pre-purchased spontaneity.

It's called the GLiDE pass through Independence Air, and it's only available to college students age 18-25. You pay $250 up front, and then you can fly as much as you want on Tues, Wed, and Saturdays to any of their destinations east of the Mississippi (pretty much every destination-worthy city) for free.

Previously, the only thing my old college ID had come in handy for was discounted movie tickets and the occasional sports ticket. I think this ticket takes the cake though. It might even eat it too.

I happen to live right next to a MARTA station only about 15 minutes from the airport in Atlanta, so I guess the next boring Tuesday night maybe I'll just fly around or something. Maybe I'll go to Manchester, Vermont. I hear Vermont is warm for two days of the year in June.

So, if your city is on the map, and you have a compelling (or at least half-decent) reason for me to fly there, let me know. My friend Tushar also has the pass, so I wouldn't necessarily be flying solo, IF YOU KNOW WHAT I MEAN. Man, that pun is so sweet I can't even tell which meaning is being punned on. I guess you could call it a BIG PUN.

Flight attendant: “I'm sorry sir, you can't LEAN BACK during takeoff.”
