On the front of my Powerade it says:
80% fewer calories*
On the back of my Powerade it says:
*Than the leading sports drink calories (carbohydrate energy) per 8 fl oz (240mL) Leading Sports Drink – 50, Powerade Option – 10
Is Powerade implying they're not the leading sports drink? Wouldn't they then be acknowledging that their product is not the best? There should be a star next to “leading” too. What are they leading? Global sales? Taste? Fuel efficiency?
And what if your drink IS the leader? Do you have to put “*Than the 2nd place sports drink”?

And I can't help but think, “Wow, that could've been the last thing somebody typed before getting hit by a plane. I bet that person wishes he had that last boring hour back.” Then I read the article again because I felt it would be insensitive not to take someone's last words seriously.

The expression “You screwed the pooch” can really take on a new meaning by substituting “a” for “the.” And by that I mean the expression on somebody's face when you tell them, “You screwed a pooch.” Especially if they were drunk the night before.
