There's this dude trying to get nominated for President of the United States. He had the audacity to state that bad American foreign policy helped cause 9/11. He's accused President Bush of using his presidency to make his elite friends richer. And, as a result of his blatant stating of the ridiculously obvious, the Michigan GOP is trying to ban him from participating in any more debates.
This guy's name is Ron Paul. And he is a Republican.
Now, when I say that Ron Paul is a Republican, I do not mean that he is some rich, elitist asshole with no respect for freedom or individualism. When I call Ron Paul a Republican, I also do not mean that he is a conservative Christian bent on forcing his beliefs on others. No, Ron Paul is what I would call a fundamental Republican. This means that he is against taxes and public aide and would like every American to have the freedom to get rich.
In short, Ron Paul's a good guy.
Which means he doesn't have a chance in hell of getting nominated.
But let's ignore that truism for a second and go back to a point I linked to in the first paragraph.
The Republican party is trying to ban Ron Paul from speaking at the Michigan debates.
For dramatic effect, I'm stating this another way.
The Republican party does not think that free speech is a good idea. Which means they are all a bunch of elitist asshole pricks who are more interested in protecting their wealth and power than they are in helping America.
Except for Ron Paul.
Now, The Nate Way doesn't endorse much stuff. Besides blowjobs, steak, Tag body spray, alcohol, Cottenelle toilet paper and the George Foreman Grill, The Nate Way has never endorsed anything or anyone for any reason.
But, The Nate Way is firmly endorsing Ron Paul for President of the United States. America needs someone who doesn't like how its citizens are currently getting fucked (read: in every orifice with rusty chain saws). And Ron Paul is that man.
So, if by some stroke of amazing luck, Ron Paul actually ends up on a ballot that you're allowed to write on, check the box next to his name.
And if you won't do it for me, do it for freedom.
And if you won't do it for freedom, do it so we'll have a President with two first names again.
