That's right, it's another baseball piece. Hey, at least the Cardinals aren't in the post season this year. You're getting off light. Only two baseball posts before the Series? That's a record here.

If you're scoring at home, I called the Rockies and Indians, which means I was half right. I'd love to open with a few notes on the Rockies but it's been so long since I've seen them that all I remember is Holiday and something about a two for witzki. And I don't know what that even means. That series sucked.

But that ALCS. Now that was a series. I think my favorite part of the whole thing was when Red Sox leftfielder, Manny Ramirez said that if the Sox lost the ALCS, it wouldn't be the end of the world. The last time a statement that logical got met with that much admonishment, Galileo was trying to tell a religion they weren't the center of the universe. That was great.

And of course, Beckett pitching like a machine manufacturing machine. I mean, he was that machinated. And he was a beast. He was a machinated beast. You can't beat a machinated beast. It's in the rulebook.

And the JD Drew grand slam, which really just comes down to law of averages. I mean, don't plan on the big JD Drew revival 'cause it's not gonna happen. His behavioral pattern was the model for Prozac. So enjoy what you had, Sox fans.

And how about Denver already covered in snow? I am loving this. I have so many unanswered questions. Will the park have it's own snow-truck and if so, does it have different tires than a regular snow-truck? Does it have a grass-safe plow? Is there a such thing as a grass-safe plow? Will they use snow-blowers. I haven't seen a snow-blower in years. God, I'm giddy.

Anyway, I've said it before and I'm saying it again: The Colorado Rockies are gonna win the World Series. And not because they're religious, and not because they're the better team (they're not), but because the cosmos likes to make statements.

I firmly believe that the cosmos likes to remind the world just how twisted a year it's had by taking the symbols of that world's ideology and weirding it all up.

And, by allowing a Rockies championship, the cosmos basically says, “Here you go physics, here you go baseball tradition, eat these shit bags. Nothing is what you thought it was, asswhipes. Ha ha.”

It's just one of those things I feel in my gut. One of those things that has to happen because the storyline couldn't go any other way.

Or, more than likely, I'm just strange.

Rockies in seven.
