Couple of plugs here for my multimedia comedy friends.
First, I just watched Lee Camp's 50-minute stand-up DVD, and it was hilarious. He's been touring the country for at least a few years now doing stand-up at tons of colleges and venues. If you're an old-school PIC reader, you might remember Lee wrote several comedy articles including Unsolved Mysteries of the Hangover and The Time-Honored College Apartment. But you really need to see him on stage to get the full effect.
If you like the clip below, you should pick up his DVD “Sometimes Funny Hurts” for $11.99.Also, I blogged about a comedy group last July called Stain and Cake (they did a really funny post-college life short), and now they're back with full-length TV episodes called “Space Wasters,” which will air in San Francisco.
I hope you've got 23 minutes and 46 seconds to kill, because I'm including their first episode here:
Oh, and one last thing. In case you ever thought corporate sponsorships were “getting a little annoying,” but not really “going too far,” check out how it's a crime to kidnap children, but not to exploit their faces for money:
Cool!
