This guy's post is exactly how I feel about TV these days: While trashy TV may seem like harmless fun, watch enough of it and your own daily thoughts will slowly disintegrate into trash as well. This is the way big media is beating up consumers mentally these days.
Why do they want to do this?
So your brain will be nice and soft when the commercials come on. Accept advertising messages. ACCEPT THEM AND SPEND YOUR MONEY.
Spend your money until you don't have a dime left to leave the house and you're forced to resort to watching more trashy TV on a Friday and Saturday night, too.
Everything is news. News is entertainment. Everything is entertainment. Now go vote. Watch how well America is doing. Watch it on TV, not outside. Don't talk to your neighbors, we'll tell you how well it's doing. We're TV. If we don't have the answers we'll make some up for you or divert your attention with a monkey. Or a big clock necklace. LOOK AT THE CLOCK NECKLACE!
Now go share this trash with your friends. Talk trash. Feels good doesn't it! Don't think about it, just exchange trashy thoughts. Have sex if you want. You saw how they do it on TV, right? Don't think, we'll be right back!
Dove. Obama. Bud Light. Marines. Dr. Phil.
9/8 Central, 7/6 Pacific. 5/4 Hawaii. 3/2 Japan. 1/Boom.
What are you thinking about?
If you're not sure if it's trashy TV, it is.
